Amanda Swanson, current secretary and future president of the organization, tells me a little about the goals of the organization, things that the organization does, and what she hopes to accomplish as future president of the organization. She says that the goals of the organization is to promote the success of women as they become part of the science community. While the majority of the current members have a science related major, the club is open to anyone across campus. The organization frequently participates in volunteer activities, such as making blankets for the homeless and making puppy chow for dogs. The club also brings in speakers that can hep guide students on what classes they should take in preparing for the MCAT as well as other pre-grad tests, and what awaits them after they graduate from Ohio Northern University. The faculty adviser of the club is Dr.Young who is also the chair of the biology department at Ohio Northern University. The videos below show how women have changed and continue to enhance science by inventing new technology and making medical advancements. Organizations like PAWS are what make it possible for women o continue to thrive.
